Creating a contemporary sunshade solution for Eden Hall Spa
Award-winning Nottingham Spa, Eden Hall contacted Lockit Safe to replace the existing shades in their large conservatory relaxation area.

The conservatory is at the heart of the spa and although the current shades did the practical job of providing a cool environment in the summer months, they did little to enhance the space and showcase the bold architectural structure of the conservatory.

Stunning Eight-Sail Design

Our solution was to work with the strong architectural planes, using eight bespoke sails in alternating colours that created a dramatic and contemporary statement.

The 400m2 area was covered with 100% acrylic sails with a Duraflam-Duracote Flame Retardant treatment for an internal fire rating to BS EN 1021-1, BS EN 1021-2: 1994 and BS7176: 1995. It was designed using the latest 3D CAD drawing systems to ensure the perfect fit and easy installation.

Providing cycle parking for 36 Train Stations throughout Kent

Lockit Safe were awarded the contract to remove existing cycle parking shelters and install new facilities across 36 Train Stations, the challenge was on to complete the project within just 8 weeks.

The project included extensive site surveys on all stations and the completion of any necessary ground works these surveys highlighted.

Stations, naturally being busy environments where any disruptions to station facilities would have a negative affect on passengers and services, our client insisted on a detailed timetable of planned deliveries and installations to sites, with the added pressure of high penalty fees in place if any of the works resulted in failed operation of trains. Lockit Safe completed the project on time, on budget and with zero penalties. A comprehensive end-to-end solution resulting in further works being awarded to Lockit Safe by our client.

As many of the sites had existing cycle parking, Lockit Safe provided a turnkey service including:-

• Site surveys
• Production of detailed method statements and risk assessments
• Removal of existing facilities on site and disposal or recycling
• Completion of ground works including core drilling, excavation and concrete base foundations
• Delivery and installation of product
• Erection of temporary safety fencing
• Final clean down before sign off

This challenging project was achieved on time and on budget within the 8 weeks time-frame and now train passengers across Kent can enjoy cleaner, safer and more flexible cycle parking.
