Lockit-safe awarded 3 year contract for West Yorkshire Combined Authority

West Yorkshire Combined Authority brings together the public sector across the five West Yorkshire districts (Bradford, Calderdale, Wakefield, Leeds, Kirklees) plus York, and the business sector through the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

WYCA is also the Transport Authority for West Yorkshire and has a 20-year vision for developing a modern and integrated transport system within the region and also connections with the rest of the UK.

Lockit-safe, with our experience with similar projects for TfL (Transport for London), were selected for the framework.  We will be supplying and installing cycle shelters and cycle parking products to schools, colleges and workplaces on behalf of WYCA and City Connect (a project that aims to encourage more people to travel by bike that is funded by the Department for Transport’s Cycle City Ambition Grant).

We have already been receiving applications and initial survey visits are taking place, with works starting on site in August.
