The second part of our tender win with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, involved a ground-breaking project providing bookable secure cycle parking for residents.
30 Bike Nest compounds were installed across the borough providing 180 cycle parking spaces. This wasn’t the innovative bit, however,. The Council wanted to allow residents, who may not have the storage space at home, the option of paying for cycle storage in one of the new Bike Nests.
With installation in public, urban spaces, the logistics of installation were complex and required close liaison with the Council for street permits and suspension bays.
To make this a reality, Lockit-safe went further than just the fabrication and installation of the shelters themselves, we also created a stand-alone website to allow residents to see where there were spaces and to make bookings through the website.
