Following on from a successful tender win, Lockit-safe has installed new or improved cycle parking facilities at four campus sites at Edinburgh University; Minto House, Faraday Building, the Grant Institue, and Rosalin Institute.

For two of the sites, the shelters could not be bolted down, so our solution was to design Kentledge blocks that would act as weights for the shelters. These were then clad in wood to improve the aesthetics.

For three of the sites we installed access-controlled Hamble compounds, and for the fourth site, a bespoke wooden-clad compound.

All sites required removal of any existing cycle parking facilities, groundwork, and the installation of the new compounds including electrics, lighting, and access control.  The project involved working closely with other contractors on the sites.
