Robinson College is one of the newer Cambridge University colleges. Founded in 1977 and set in beautiful, landscaped gardens close to the University Library.

With cycling as a traditional mode of transport in the city, the college required good quality cycle parking facilities that would maximise the amount of cycle parking spaces for the space available.

To make the best use of the space, we recommended using our two-tier cycle parking solution, which provides double the parking spaces for the footprint.  The two-tier racks were then covered with our Winchester shelters and, for weather protection, were powder-coated to the college colours.

The position of the college, however, did pose challenges for the installation of the facilities. Tight access to the site meant we were unable to get our lorry close to the site, but had to park on the street and ‘hand-ball’ to the installation location.
