Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Lockit-safe has continued to provide cycle parking and walkway solutions for our clients. In fact, we have undertaken some of our biggest projects to date in the last 10 months, such as our work with ALDI stores providing covered walkways.
This has required us to look at making our working practices not only COVID-safe, but also put in place contingency measures in case of staff absences or the need to quarantine.
So what has changed about the way we are doing things?
Most of our initial enquiries require a telephone call in the first instance, so nothing has changed in regards to this. We are available to chat through your requirements and answer any questions on our main office number 01472 346382.
Alternatively we can carry out a video call on Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Site visits are carried out either contactless or we can use a mixture of photos and video calls.
All client contact meetings are now carried out by telephone or video call.
Our site installers carry out a contactless site installation, apart from initially being shown to site, where social distancing will be adhered to. Once on site we have done away with paper-based sign-offs and are using electronic sign-off to eliminate the need for contact.
We have also created a full set of COVID-19 RAMS in addition to our standard site RAMS so our clients can be sure of safe working practices for staff and the public.
In the office
To protect the business continuity of the service we provide, we have split our office team into two offices and every staff member has an individual working pod with screens and sanitizer. If someone in the office should become ill or test positive for COVID, it will only affect their team members which will leave the other team able to handle their workload.
Like all businesses, we are working hard to maintain our levels of service and delivery whilst protecting the health of our employees, clients and members of the public. If you would like to discuss any of these measures, please feel free to contact us.
Now more than ever, it is important to encourage more sustainable and safe means of travel and commuting, and cycling has a key part to play in this. If you are considering adding or upgrading your cycle parking or weather protection, please contact us for an initial, no-obligation conversation.
